Welcome Mardee!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

We were contacted about a male cairn, est. to be 8-10 years old, in a shelter here without any hopes of being adoptable. Why? Well this boy's only crime was that he had a UTI and needed his teeth cleaned, lots and lots of tartar with possible extractions. So, Kathy B. jumped into action and went to the shelter that day and picked him up and took him to the vet for boarding and vetting. He was put on antibiotics for his UTI and is now on his way to his foster home in WI with Joellyn and Mike K. where he will get very good care from their vet. He will get his dental and be rechecked for the UTI. Thanks to Kathy for all her help and the transporters that carried him on his journey. And a very special thanks to Dyanna C. for B&Bing him and giving him a much needed bath, he had to feel so much better after that, Joellyn said he sure smelled good!

Thanks again to all the volunteers and donations that allow us to help cairns like "Mardee" that would have been put down if it wasn't for the Col. Potter Family.
