Welcome Kenner to CP!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Can you imagine wandering the streets of a big city, looking for your way home and suddenly you are lost?! Who knows why or how this young cairn boy was on the streets. Eventually Animal Control picked him up as a stray. He had a place to stay, food and was safe from the streets. Sadly, no one came looking for him but Kenner was a lucky cairn. After the mandatory hold period at Animal Control, he became a resident of a wonderful humane society that contacts the Col. Potter Intakes Team when a cairn is in need of rescue.

Kenner is a young, 2 year old cairn with a red wheaten coat suffering from a bad haircut. His picture is not the best because he suffers from a rare disorder which makes it difficult to be photographed. We were informed of the disorder up front but it's something we can live with - Wiggle-itis. He also suffers from Kissing-mania. At this time, we do not know if his conditions are curable or if they should be!

These are some of the descriptions used by the people connected with his rescue: doll baby, sweetheart, big kisser, wiggle butt and happy boy! Kenner is a young, healthy, sweet boy named in honor of a little cairn whose life was too short but will continue on in spirit through his namesake. The name Kenner is an Old English name meaning brave guard or brave chieftain. Kenner was certainly brave to endure all he went through before his arrival at Col. Potter.

A big thank you to Nicole T. and Mary Jean O'M. for helping Kenner become a Col. Potter kid. Kenner totally charmed Nicole T. and she will be his foster mom. Thank you again to all the volunteers and supporters who make it possible for cairns like Kenner to be saved. Please welcome Kenner!!
