2500 CAIRNS RESCUED SINCE INCEPTION - CHEERS TO COL. POTTER!!

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

I went dancing with the Devil last week and completely filled up my dance card! I am extremely happy to announce that yesterday TWENTY SIX (26) little Cairns made their way to freedom and into the loving arms of CP! Yes, I did say TWENTY SIX! We rescued 5 adult males ranging in age from 9 years to 1 year, 14 adult females ranging in age from 7 years to 1 year including a mom with 2 - 8 week old male puppies and another mom with 1 female and 3 male 1 week old puppies!

This group has been named the Cheers to Col. Potter Kids as CP has now exceeded 2500 Cairns rescued since our inception!!! They are all named after popular cocktails, including one named after the lovely setting those of us attending WV CRAP enjoyed … Hurricane.

This would not have been possible without the help and support of all of you and the other volunteers and supporters of Col. Potter. BUT, I have to ask for more … Obviously with a group of this size, it will put severe pressure on our foster homes, so you KNOW where I’m going with this … If you can take a foster … or two … and aren’t already on my available foster home list, please let me know. If you aren’t currently an approved foster home, please consider becoming one. We need you, no, the Cairns need you. As those of us at WV CRAP looked around Sydney and Larry’s lovely property, what did we see?– CAIRNS. Where did many of these Cairns come from including those adopted by some of you? If someone hadn’t opened up their heart and their home to foster these furkids, they wouldn’t be here today and neither would we.

Please consider becoming a foster home. We will be more than happy to explain to you how fostering works, how we approach foster homes to take fosters, that we can match a foster to suit a foster home’s situation, and what you need to do to foster a Cairn.

More details and pictures will follow next week, but for right now ...

Everyone … Please raise a glass … and say CHEERS TO COL. POTTER!!
