Welcome Stinger and her 4 puppies at 16 days old from the Cheers to Col. Potter Group!!

While I was away having fun at CRAP, my husband drove over three hours one way to pick up our new foster family on Friday. He had the normal pack of 10 here, plus the momma and her 4 babies from the Cheers to Col. Potter group. We've been on the list to whelp, but the timing has never been right.

This family worked out perfectly, plus I've already missed the stressful part of worrying about birthing the babies!

So meet Stinger, a sweet girl that's about 16.5# after her meal and carrying the kid's supper. She's a pretty wheaten that's been shaved down except for hair on the top of her head like a Chinese Crested and a poof on the end of her tail resembling a poodle We'll clean that up at a later date and get her evened out so she looks a bit more Cairn.



Shirley Temple is the chubbiest of the 4 puppies and lightest in color, weighing in this morning at 20 oz.


Next in size is Slush (male) at 18 oz.


Swizzle (male) weighs in at 13 oz, and he has a bit of a blaze of white on his chest and on his left front toes.


Little Fizz (male) is also a little guy at 13 oz.


While we had mom outside pottying today, I was in about to change the linens in the bed and turned to find Fizz had made his way to the door on the whelping box, popping up to the top first, so I knew which one needed to take that name out of the group assigned to these kids.I put a Sharpie next to them so you can kind of see their size. Their little eyes have partially opened - they look like they're peeking out at their new world.
