Welcome Bodega to Col. Potter!

Written by a CP volunteer

It was a very good morning for Bodega in Santa Rosa, CA. It was a discovered that a Cairn mix with skin issues was languishing in a shelter and Col. Potter volunteer coordinators let me know that I could help by providing the first ride out of town and on to his new life. I picked him up without any problems at all. His obvious skin problems could demoralize any pooch but he was both nervous and enthusiastic about what was going on and his energy level was that of a perfectly healthy dog. He has a nice sharp bark but wasn't overbearing with it and once in the crate he whined a little with a bit of skepticism but then did a few circles and lay down for most of the trip.

He's very alert and is going to make someone a great friend once he gets his coat back and finds his forever home.

His skin is so bad that it may be better that the photos I took of him in the shelter office aren't that clear.

Thanks to the volunteers who met me halfway and who provided a soft, red plaid blanket to go with Bodega's new red collar and itchy skin and who sent Bodega to a vet to start his recovery.

One more of the many successes that Col Potter can lay claim to this past weekend. Go Bodega!
