Welcome Drifter to CP

Contributed by a CP Intakes team Coordinator

Poor little Drifter was found drifting along as a stray out in the cold and the snow drifts... the name Drifter just seemed destined to be his! He was taken to a local shelter so he could be out of the cold and they noted he had a cough so they took him to a vet. That vet diagnosed him with a heart murmur and put him on medication. Little did we know that it was a grade 5 heart murmur and that Drifter is actually much older than the five years that the shelter thought he was. He is estimated to be around 11 years old and, because of his heart murmur, he will take a combination of three meds for the remainder of his life to keep his symptoms at bay. All his vetting was able to be done with careful monitoring and he did great. The current vet said he is a super friendly and cute little guy. Welcome Drifter, may you always be warm and loved now til forever.
