Welcome the Native American Maidens to CP!!

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

I warn you right now these four little girls are going to steal your hearts! Thanks to one of our Rescue Angels, these four are now safe in the loving arms of Col. Potter and will never have to have any more puppies, but will now be able to be babied themselves!

Say hello to:

Nita: Female, DOB 8/23/08, wheaten, sweet, little snugglebug - her name comes from the Choctaw Tribe meaning bear cub.

Kachina: Female, DOB 8/24/04, red wheaten w/ black ears - her name comes from the Hopi Tribe meaning sacred dancer/spirit

Kaya: Female, DOB 2/13/03, wheaten - her name comes from the Hopi Tribe meaning elder sister

Nokomis: Female, DOB 2/13/02, wheaten, sister of Kaya - her name comes from the Cherokee Tribe meaning elder woman.

These Maidens almost didn't make it into CP ... not because of finances, or ability to get them ... but because we don't have foster homes available right now. It has become increasingly difficult to bring groups of furkids in because of the shortage of foster homes. There are other much larger groups that need help, but that won't be possible without the foster homes to take them.

If you aren't already a foster home, please consider becoming one. Please follow this link for information. You will be repaid for your kindness 10 times over!

Please help me welcome the Native American Maidens to CP!
