Please welcome Allyraine!

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

Recently a cute, little, healthy, squirrel crazy, ball playing, cat chasing, 3 year old girl named Allyriane became the latest Col. Potter princess. Her family's situation changed due to jobs, travel and relocation. Faced with all the changes in our current economy, her family wanted to make sure this sweet cairn girl would be able to have a new home that was safe, secure and loving. Col. Potter said yes -we can help find all that and more for Allyriane.

Allyriane has unpacked her bags at her foster home and adjusting to the big change. She's already taken a nice walk and impressed everyone with her great leash skills. Allyriane is a ready to go princess and a welcome addition to the Col. Potter family. Thank you to everyone for making it possible for Allyriane to be a Col. Potter kid!

Hazel and Smyrna join CP!

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

Smyrna

Hazel

An email came into Col. Potter referencing two senior girls who needed a home. Their elderly owner had fallen upon hard times and was forced to move in with her daughter. There were resident dogs in the house, and two more were too much for the daughter to handle. This elderly lady had been Hazel and Smyrna’s owner their whole life. This poor woman was told “give them up or lose your place to stay”.

I’d like everyone to give Hazel and Smyrna a warm CP welcome.

New boy in town!

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

As most young men do, this handsome Cairn boy found a way to "escape" his home, probably while he was chasing some "hot prey" and then couldn't find his way home again. Instead, he luckily ended up with a local rescue group, but had a little too much Cairnitude for them to handle. So, they called for the experts to help keep this boy safe and find him a wonderful new forever home that knows just what it takes to keep these Cairn boys at home without making another "Great Escape".

Oh, the girls are going to swoon when they get a look at Hilts, our new boy in town. He's estimated to be 4 years old and a real heartbreaker!

Welcome Hodgins

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

Please give a warm welcome to Col. Potter's new man, Hodgins!

This 7 year old adorable cairn boy joins us due to life changes in his family. After a relocation due to financial reasons, he found himself in a home that was not safe for a cairn. His family knew that the new living situation was one that put him in true danger and they loved him so much they could not risk his life. They reached out to Col. Potter hoping that we could help.

Hodgins is heading to his foster home, and on to the next part of his CP journey. Thanks to everyone who helps make CP's work possible- through time, donations, fostering, transporting and all the behind the scenes work. Without so many dedicated volunteers, Hodgins might not be so lucky!

Welcome, little man!

A beautiful little girl joins CP--Taryn!

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

Please help me welcome a most stunning girl, Taryn. This beauty is 15 months old, and petite at just over 11 pounds. She is a typical feisty girl cairn--when her owners didn't let her know who was "boss", she felt happy to take over that role! Now she is attending CP's boot camp, to learn some things all cairns need to know, then she will be ready for a wonderful forever home and family.

Welcome, Taryn!
