Blaine Begins Again at Col. Potter!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Blaine, a handsome 8 year old Black Brindle Male

Please give a big Hellooo to the new guy in the clan, Blaine!

Blaine is a wonderful fellow, his owner told us over and over, but he was proving to be “too much” for her.

His owner loved him well, and wanted the best for Blaine, but she believed she couldn’t do everything for him that he deserved.  Blaine’s got sore knees, you see — and who doesn’t at 8 years old???   And his owner found that difficult to deal with — emotionally, financially and time-wise — as she needed to give him Cosequin and fish oil extract every day.  Her final decision to surrender Blaine came when the owner learned that she had to move out of her family home where she had lived so comfortably for many decades.

It was easy to understand.  Blaine’s owner was getting a little rundown, and she was becoming overwhelmed at all the changes and responsibilities in her life, especially when they involved her beloved dog.  She wanted him to be taken care of, so she contacted Col. Potter for help, and that was the right thing to do.

When we went and checked out this little dude, we found a beautiful Black-Brindle boy, full of love, eager for belly rubs, and very easy-going.  And it’s a good thing too that we got there just in time, because, at a strapping 27 pounds, this boy was being recruited for a linebacker position with the SF 49ers...  But all went well — we got the boy, and the 49ers… well… anyway…

Let’s all please give Blaine a hearty Welcome to the Col. Potter Family!
