They say "When one door closes, another one opens" and "When one life ends, another one begins" ...
The Col. Potter family was rocked by the tragic and senseless accident that severely injured Mary Lou Shobe and Toto and ultimately claimed Mary Lou's life. She was a tireless worker and supporter of CP and the Cairns we all love and want to help so much. Mary Lou's accident mirrors the plight of Puppy Mill dogs; at the mercy of someone who puts their lives in jeopardy because of their actions. Many PM dogs perish because of these actions ... as Mary Lou did. But some are strong enough, lucky enough to be able to survive until they get a chance at rescue. Such is the case of a beautiful little girl who made it to the freedom and safety of the loving arms of Col. Potter.
Introducing Mary Lou! She's a beautiful cream, petite, girl that weighs about 12 pounds. She is shy and frightened but melts into your arms once held.
My thanks to Kathy and Barney H. for literally hopping out of their front door and getting to the interstate to meet her transport and pick her up.
CP's Mary Lou has a very special angel watching over her and I just hope this puts a huge smile on the angel's face knowing that a door has opened and a new life has begun ...
Please help me welcome Mary Lou!
