A Tribute to Skye
Skye loved the cool grass beneath
her feet
The call of freedom beckoning
Oh so sweet
Racing with the wind kissing
her face
She paused but awhile at this
earthly place
Dreaming of transversing
heavenly skies
She strained against all
worldly ties
While she wandered one
mid-summer's day
The angels whistled and
called her away
In God's garden there are
children alone
So he called for one
of our own
Angels carried our little dog
to heaven above
To play in God's garden
Surrounded with love
