REMEMBER OUR MAMAS WHO LABOR ALL YEAR IN COMMERCIAL BREEDING FACILITIES

Compiled from excerpts written by CP Volunteers

The picture above is Contralto who was rescued from a commercial breeding facility when she was very pregnant and only a week or so away from whelping. She had medical and skin problems.

This picture was Contralto with her 2 week old pups who were born into freedom. With the love and patience our foster homes provide these scared furkids, slowly, a flash of sudden awareness, an individual enlightenment, the understanding that they will be cared for with affection happens.

This picture is Contralto 5 months after her rescue. It’s the reason we all do what we do, the reason we joined Col Potter. Click here if you would like to see her entire story along with that of her pups.

We would like to take the time today on Labor Day to celebrate all of the pups that have and will make their way into the loving arms of Col. Potter! If you are interested in becoming a Col. Potter Volunteer, please click here to learn more about our many volunteer opportunities!
