April 1, April Fools Day, All Fools Day - day with many names and varying stories of where and how it began. A day to play practical jokes and tricks. A day filled with harmless fun and laughs.
April 1, 2011, however, was no trick for four Cairns who made their way to freedom and into the loving arms of Col. Potter. It's no joke that they will be spending their first night ever sleeping inside, getting their first bath and have something soft to sleep on. No fooling that they are now on the road to a happily ever after.
Presenting Col. Potter's April Fools:
Folly: Female, wheaten, 5 years old
Pranks: Female, wheaten, 6 years old
Trickster: Female, wheaten, 6 years old
Tomfoolery: Male, wheaten, 7 years old
My thanks to Allison S. of the Rescue Team for her perseverance in following these kids and for making sure they got help and to Amy R. who made the trip today to pick them up and get them started on their journey to freedom.
Please remember the New Leash on Life (NLOL) is running. What better way to support the furkids than by purchasing raffle tickets and having a chance to win great prizes. Col. Potter can only continue to help groups like April Fools with your continued support. We also need foster homes, so if you have room for one more crate in your house and bowl on your counter, please fill out our application online.
April Fools certainly were the ones playing the jokes today and gained their freedom!
