Incident officer Andy Adam carries Charlie the adventurous cairn to safety after his frightening ordeal trapped overnight in a quarry.
AN 18-MONTH-OLD cairn terrier had to be rescued recently after he fell off the edge of a quarry.
The Ambulance and Rescue Service inshore lifeboat and cliff rescue crew were called to Hougue Ricart Quarry in the Vale after the dog had gone missing late on Sunday afternoon. And after a two-hour rescue, Charlie was reunited safe and well with his owner, Jean Kindred.
‘I’m so relieved,’ said Mrs Kindred, 73.
‘I’m so pleased he is OK and I would like to thank all these people who helped to rescue him.’
