Please give a warm welcome to Col. Potter's new boy, Nim. This four year old wheaten boy was surrendered to a shelter; his family reported they were moving and could not afford to take care of him. The shelter saw his typical cairn boy attitude and knew that his best chance for successful adoption was through breed rescue. They contacted CP for help.
He contracted Kennel Cough while at the shelter, and the shelter was willing and able to treat him and hold him during that time. Once cleared from the infection, he was picked up by our CP volunteer. He will have his spa treatment this week and then head to his foster home Saturday.
While we know not all shelters can hold and treat a sick dog, we have proof that there are some that go above and beyond to help those in their care. This shelter did a great job on behalf of Nim. For that we are grateful!
Welcome, Nim!!
