Tuesday Tails: Sonny Boy Celebrates 5 Years in Forever!

One of our former Col. Potter Fosters celebrated his 5th anniversary with his Forever family on September 1st!  Sonny Boy started his journey to Forever when he was just shy of three years old after being rescued from a difficult situation in Texas.  He was transported to his Foster Home in Oregon, where his awesome Foster Mommy gave him lots of loving care and taught him all about being a proper Cairn gentleman.  Fearful at first, this little boy made great strides in learning how to trust - and within a year, his hard work paid off.  Sonny Boy was adopted in September, 2012, and made his transition to New York City, where he's been living happily with his new family ever since.

This Southern fella has taken to life in the Big Apple like a champ.  Although the hustle and bustle of NYC traffic can still be a bit scary to him, he has graduated from wearing a Thundershirt during his outings to taking walks without one.  He loves roaming in grassy parks, and always comes back from his adventures energized!  When not exploring the city streets with Mom or Dad, he enjoys playing with the many toys his adoring humans spoil him with.

We are so happy to hear that Sonny Boy is living and loving life to the fullest.  Happy 5th anniversary to you and your Forever family!

Tuesday is full of Tails!  Each week we will showcase the Tail of one of our Col. Potter Rescued Cairns, either Post Adoption or still looking for that Forever Home while in a wonderful CP Foster Home.  If you have a great CP Post Adoption story (and photos!) and would like us to consider them for an upcoming "Tuesday Tails" send it to us at cpcrnblog@gmail.com (All photo submissions become the property of CPCRN and may be used for fundraising, promotion and/or outreach purposes.).
