It's time to order Col. Potter's Cookbook - Your Culinary Companion Volume III if you didn't receive it for the holidays!

Contributed by a CP Volunteer

Col. Potter has three delightful Volumes of its cookbook Your Culinary Companion – A Cookbook for Cairn Terrier Lovers and Friends with recipes submitted from Col. Potter volunteers. Although Volume I is sold out, limited quantities of Volume II are available and Volume III has just been released.

Volume III is ready to be shipped to your home or the home of a gift recipient. This edition has over 750 wonderful recipes and tips, divider page Cairn specific artwork, and wonderful quips on the bottom of the pages.

Thinking about ordering? If you order more than one cookbook, there is a discount. The first book is $30 and every book with that order after the first is only $28. If you purchase a case (ordering 12), you get two books FREE – so each book only costs you $23.50 – so think about your holiday gift giving, upcoming weddings, etc. WHAT a great shower gift this would be!

This price deal also works for the remaining Volume II. If you want to order one of each, you still get the discount.

Channel 16 WNEP in Pennsylvania featured Your Culinary Companion – A Cookbook for Cairn Terrier Lovers and Friends on its Home & Backyard program. Click here to view the video of the TV show. It's very exciting to see our cookbook featured on television!

We know this book will be a welcome addition to your collection, there is a “smile and a tear” on every page with our wonderful poems and prose. It even includes some of the recipes for the home baked Yum Yums that are available for the winter holiday season every year. You can do your holiday shopping early! It is available now to purchase at the Cairn Mall.

Thank you for supporting Col. Potter!

Cooking With Col. Potter!

In the Fall of 2007, several wonderful volunteers of Col. Potter published a recipe, story and love filled cookbook through the Morris Press Cookbook Company of Nebraska, “Your Culinary Companion – Volume II – A Cookbook for Cairn Terrier Lovers and Friends”. Morris Press is a printing establishment that specializes exclusively in cookbook publishing.

In August of 2008, Col. Potter entered their published cookbook contest, along with 482 other cookbook entries (there were over 800 cookbooks published by Morris Press in 2007/2008, and 482 of those entered the contest). Out of those 482 entries, 10 books were selected by a panel within Morris Press to be formal entries in the contest. We were one of the top 10!

Out of those 10 books, three top prizes were awarded, First, Second and Third Place. After much finger and paw crossing, and a few silent prayers, in January 2009 our cookbook editor, Amy R., was contacted by Morris with the WONDERFUL news that our book was awarded THIRD PLACE in this contest. We were given a wonderful letter, some promotional press releases, a link on their web site and a CHECK for $1000 for Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network.

It is with much pride and joy that the remaining books will be adorned with a WINNER medallion so that each new owner of one of our books will KNOW what the publication of this book means to our rescued Cairn Terriers. To date, nearly 900 books have been sold.

You can order the book through the link above OR you can go to the Col. Potter Mall to order one for yourself or for a friend. (We ship directly to your door, or to the door of a gift recipient with a gift card). There aren’t many left in our inventory; if you are interested in an award winning cookbook you better order FAST!

Do you LOVE to cook??

Our unique and lovingly created cookbook "Your Culinary Companion II" is now on sale in the CPCRN Mall! Our first book, "Your Culinary Companion" won TOP 10 honors from Morris Press, our publisher with our first edition. We were very proud of this. Morris Press ONLY publishes cookbooks and they publish thousands every year. We know that our second book is equally as nice!

Also included in this book is a very large chapter of canine recipes, collected by Cairn Terrier lovers and their friends and relatives from all over the globe.

This book is a HUGE one-of-a-kind 3-ring (expandable) cookbook. It measures 8" wide, by 9-1/2" tall by almost 3 inch thick! The cookbook is professionally printed, including padded covers and approximately 700 carefully selected recipes.

This is sure to become one of your favorite cookbooks and it benefits Cairns in need. These are also great gifts for cooking friends. What more could you ask for?
