CP's foster Hola gets her blankie!
Contributed by Hola's foster mom

Thank you blankie Auntie Kathy. Here is a photo of Hola on her blanket. When she jumped off, Alpha Annie jumped on it.
Now let me tell you about my foster,Hola. Last night at bedtime I popped her in the crate. She had been on the sofa all evening. When I went up to bed I could not find Thunder. Panic! Shouting and running up and down the stairs I thought maybe I went into the garage and he followed me and I locked him out. As I walked by Hola's crate (in the back hall) I saw two little black noses. Yup. Thunder was in the back of the crate when I popped Hola in. Mind you this is her travel crate. I think Thunder has a girl friend. I can't tell you how sweet she is.

Please say HELLO!
Written by CP's VP of Intakes
Is there a more universal way to break the ice with someone you don't know, or in new surroundings than simply saying HELLO? Many of the furkids that find their way to the loving arms of Col. Potter are coming into totally new and unknown surroundings. They are scared, apprehensive and waiting to see what's going to happen to them next. What better way to break the ice than with each of their names meaning HELLO!
Remember my recent quick announcement that six Cairns had joined the CP Family? Well, it's time to say HELLO!

Little Jambo's tummy is covered in a large red rash and raised bumps. These have been diagnosed as fire ant stings. If you've ever had a fire ant sting, you know how painful and irritating they can be. Can you imagine this little baby and his delicate skin and private parts being stung all over by ants and how this must have hurt him? The beautiful Hola is little Jambo's mama.
Please remember if CP is going to be able to say HELLO to anymore groups of Cairns, we need more volunteers. We need more help on every team in CP. Come 'on ... say HELLO to some new teammates and help CP to continue to say HELLO to the Cairns that need us.
On a personal note, THANK YOU to everyone who made the New Leash on Life such a success!!!
