CP LITERATURE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

There are several different mediums to enjoy fine literature. There is nothing like spending a lazy summer afternoon relaxing under the shade of a tree enjoying a good book or collection of prose, or there is the excitement of enjoying a live performance at the theater. No matter which genre you prefer, all forms endeavor to captivate you with a story.

Recently, three little Cairns found their way to literary history in the loving arms of Col. Potter, each with their own story to tell. In their cases, the story has just begun because the best chapters lie ahead of them ... their future of freedom, love and a happily ever after will complete each of their stories.

So, sit down, relax and get ready to enjoy CP Literature:

Novel: Male, born 7/14/07, red wheaten with black ears

Poem: Female, born 7/24/05, wheaten

Drama: Female, born 8/7/05, wheaten with black ears and will celebrate her 6th birthday next Sunday in FREEDOM

We are in need of foster homes for Literature. They are being boarded and vetted on the east coast, so would prefer to find foster homes on the east coast so we can ground transport. However, if we can't find enough foster homes on the east coast, then we will have to fly them to foster homes farther away. If you do not already foster for Col. Potter, please fill out the online foster form if you are able to foster one of these precious furkids or another one that may be in need of a foster home.

There's nothing like good Literature to enjoy, and I know these three are destined to become classics!

I Have A Cairn Puppy Vol. II

I have a Cairn puppy so …
My house is ALWAYS a mess,
But about this I surely don’t stress,
Because when HIS job is done,
And he’s tired of having fun,
Getting this picture is really the BEST.

I have a Cairn puppy so …
The yard is no longer flat,
He digs holes and that is that,
We fill them, he digs them again,
It’s surely a daily routine,
A chore so worth doing,
For him the task is what he dreams.

I have a Cairn puppy so …
You all know we’re in love,
This tiny little bundle has so quickly grown up,
The coat of a winner, the heart of a star,
He’s one in a million and he’s ours, all ours.

I have a Cairn puppy so …
We were able to get,
An official AKC ILP for Earth Dog events,
We can’t wait to try him,
We know he’ll do his best,
So we’ll keep you informed WHEN he passes that test.

Puppy Poem Written By A CPCRN Volunteer

I have a Cairn puppy so ….
This year, at Christmas, we didn't have a tree,
The cost of paper towels, is surely killing me,
There are holes in the yard where holes shouldn't be,
And the house is littered with twigs and debris.

I have a Cairn puppy so ….
Things around here are no longer real normal,
When hubby and I go out, it's no longer formal,
It's a run to the store or a quick grab of supper,
We gotta get home to our new baby pupper.

I have a Cairn puppy so ….
Our life around here is surely not boring,
Did I mention, when he's sleeping, you surely hear snoring?
It doesn't matter how many fur butts you have in your home,
When you have a Cairn puppy, you're NEVER alone.

I have a Cairn puppy so ….
My life's an adventure, my heart is so happy,
My slippers are missing, and my hairs a bit nappy,
I can't even measure what he's returned to our souls,
A gap long left empty, he now fills & consoles.

I have a Cairn puppy so …
My life is complete.
"Hey, give that to me, that's not something you eat!!!!"
