Col. Potter Reaches out for Rayna!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Rayna, a sweet 2 year old Wheaten Female
Please welcome a sweet and petite two year old girl named Rayna!  Rayna's story has a tragic accident, a stoic victim, a Guardian Angel, and a Rescue - Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network.

The Guardian Angel witnessed a small dog dart through traffic on a busy multi lane road.  This wonderful Guardian Angel then followed the dog home so that she could let the owner know the danger the dog had just survived.  Upon arrival at the home, the angel found an injured and underweight girl laying on the front lawn – now CP's Rayna.

Sweet little Rayna has a fractured pelvis and nerve damage
Seems she had been hit by a car, but the owner was financially unable to seek medical assistance.  The Guardian Angel was able to talk the owner into surrendering the suffering little girl to her.  Rayna's Guardian Angel immediately drove her to a veterinarian for examination and xrays.  Poor Rayna's pelvis was fractured and she had nerve damage.

Rayna's Guardian Angel needed help and reached out to Col. Potter.   Happily, CP agreed to bring Rayna into the family!  Currently, Rayna is in her Foster Home waiting to learn if the nerve damage will heal so that she can avoid amputation of her leg.

Everyone that has come into contact with Rayna has marveled at her sweet temperament and her bravery.  Not a whimper despite her very painful condition.  Please welcome this sweet girl and keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

Rayna's full medical expenses are unknown at this time, but they continue to mount through follow-up visits and normal vetting.  If you would like to help with Rayna's medical expenses, please send your check with a note for Rayna #6333 and mail it to:
