We have 2 days to advance to the number 4 spot and earn $3,000 for Col. Potter. Please be sure to vote and encourage your friends and family to vote. We are so close and yet so far away!
Hello Everyone,
Well,....I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the standings after I voted. Rolling Dog has faltered, that's good, and we didn't advance, that's bad.
We missed out on an opportunity to gain even more on Rolling Dog. We are slowly and steadily closing the gap between us and them in the race for 4th place. We can still do this. This morning Col Potter was at 1.1%, exactly where we were yesterday and Rolling Dog was at 1.17%, losing .01% from 1.18% yesterday.
Man....if we had advanced yesterday we would be that much closer. The totals for Denison City and Copper Country are just climbing at a rate that's almost unbelievable. Last night Denison City went from 2.83% to 2.94% and Copper Country went from 2.77% to 2.89% an increase of .11% and .12%, respectively, so we see it can be done. We can see this will be a tight race for the $10,000 1st place prize in the next 2 days. Both these rescues/shelters have turned on the
afterburners and are just distancing themselves from the rest of us in a very competitive race.
We have 2 more days people and I ask you, yet again, to continue voting for Col Potter and lets hope Rolling Dog falters again and we advance and close the gap between us and make a tight race out of 4th place and the last position able to win the $3,000 prize for Honorable Mention in this Challenge. We are so close!!! Please lend your support and votes at the link provided:

Col. Potter wins a Shelter Challenge Weekly Prize of $1,000. Let's Keep Voting!!
Col Potter has won one of two weekly $1000 prizes from the Shelter Challenge as of about 15 mins ago. you can only do this once so we are $1000 better off today than we were when I woke up this morning. Now if we can only make it into the top 4 and get even more prize money, or maybe even make it to the #1 ranking and win the $10,000 prize. We can only win 2 prizes per Challenge contest so lets get the word out so we can win the $3000 or the $10,000 prize as our second prize. Good job everyone!!!!

Tired Dog - Comic Relief!
An older, tired-looking, dog wandered into my yard. I could tell fromhis collar and well-fed belly, that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up inthe corner and fell asleep.
An hour later, he went to the door and I let him out....
The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside andresumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. Thiscontinued off and on for several weeks.
Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "I would like to find out whothe owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware thatalmost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap ?"
The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned tohis collar:"He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3,-- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?"
Please help Col. Poter to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cairn terriers by participating in the Shelter Challenge on our behalf. The details are below.

Wacky Wednesday!
Wednesday is the day to be WACKY! Each week we will showcase a terrierific cairn picture with an appropriate caption. If you have a terrierific cairn and would like us to consider YOUR picture and caption for an upcoming "Wacky Wednesday" send it to us at cpcrnblog@gmail.com! (All photo submissions become the property of CPCRN and may be used for fundraising, promotion and/or outreach purposes.)

A big shout out to Lizzie for channeling Mae West for our Wacky Wednesday feature this week!
Mae West in the movie "I'm No Angel" came from the wrong side of the tracks, but ended up with wealth, fame, and a handsome husband. You can help Cairns that come from the wrong side of the track end up in HIGH COTTON, by supporting Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network in The Animal Rescue Site's "Shelter Challenge"! Please vote once per day and ask your friends and family to do the same! YOU can make a difference in the life of a Cairn!

PLEASE JOIN THE ANIMAL SHELTER CHALLENGE - VOTE DAILY AND HELP CP WIN FUNDS!!
Written by a CP Volunteer
In these weak economic times, when money becomes short, there are cairns out there who still need help. To help them, Col Potter Cairn Rescue Network needs help, too. In our quest to save as many cairns as we can, our organization feels the strain of the weak dollar and economy just like everyone else. When this happens, other means of funding must be explored more vigorously.
One way we can help--that doesn't have anything but a little time on the computer involved--is by voting everyday in the Animal Rescue Site’s Shelter Challenge contest. When we vote, we not only help Col. Potter gain a higher ranking, which may mean a "reward" of money from $1,000 weekly to $100,0000 as the overall high vote getter, but we can also click on the main web site and give .6 bowls of dog food to needy dogs. All of this is FREE and entails just spending a small amount of our time daily.
We were part of Col Potter before there was a Cairn Rescue Mentoring group. It was just a "list serve" as I recall, in the late 1990s formed by CP's founder. Since then, we have grown into an organization unparalleled in our accomplishments and devotion to helping the cairn terrier. But, in order to maintain that high standard and vision, we, quite frankly, need your help. It's just a very short time on the computer we're asking from everyone…not money.
Please help Col. Potter by voting in the Shelter Challenge Contest. Please enter Ohio for the state and Medina for the city. Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network-GL is the selection. Thank you for your assistance.
We're in the top 100, finally. Yesterday, we were ranked #96 overall and still come in #5 in the state. We actually have made significant progress over the last few weeks and should be proud of our efforts. We're that much closer to "earning" the money needed to help our cairns.
We have an address at the bottom of our personal emails that says "God has a special place in heaven for those who take care of his creatures." If you've already reserved your place in Heaven by caring for God’s creatures, make sure you go for a 50 yard line seating and get out of the end zone. Vote, and vote often.
Thanks to everyone who votes to help fund the continuing efforts of this outstanding organization.
