Magic is Going in for Surgery!

OK everyone, our boy Magic needs all of your thoughts, positive energy and prayers now!

I just spoke with the surgeon and Magic is at a point that the leg that needs to be amputated is probably hampering healing to the rest of his body. His ALT levels are down nicely, but his Albumin has now once again dropped. His vomiting is greatly reduced and he ate some solid food again yesterday. It's the crossroad of taking the chance of putting him under anesthesia to amputate the leg so all of his healing powers can go to the parts of his body that really need it, or waiting longer to see if the liver can work even harder at healing itself while his body is also trying to the heal the leg that can't be saved. We've decided to go ahead with the surgery to amputate his right leg today. The surgery will only take about 30 minutes and the surgeon will call me when it's done and I will let you know.
