Eraser says farewell

Once the gentle breeze blew down the main street rustling the leaves ,the sunshone bright, inviting all its citizen outside to walk. they walked past the city hall and sometimes saw the Mayor in the window,he looked up from his busy work and always had time to wave and smile , when they were really lucky they could see his sweet cindy with him.

But now the wind blows the shutters on the old city hall , the Inwood Outhouse is tipped over and the wind blows dust and tumbleweed down the main street, the inviting rustle of the leaves is now just discarded paper and trash can lids.

Our beloved Mayor is gone to a new life and a new city to rule. many people think a city is its citizens but Inwood City was its mayors dream come true, a utopia for everyone to dream a big dream, Eraser and Cindy say goodbye and wish everyone well and happiness.

Eraser looks good after his surgery in this video (you can see Cindy U too!)

Note from CP Blogger: Eraser recently had tumors removed from his ear and his head and we're happy that the biopsies were benign and didn't affect his ability to impart wisdom!

Jan 11, 2011

Eraser is a very sick dog, he is at the vets hospital having an operation to remove some cancerous tumor from his ear and head; the tumor popped through the skin and that was the cause for the hemorrhage on Saturday.

Jan 8, 2011

Eraser has blood coming out his ear.

I cleaned it out and got 10 q-tips full of blood and black gunk, and I put in antibiotics and gel cleaner. The emergency vet said to watch him and if he gets worse come in, if he stays the same wait till Monday. I don’t know why it wasn’t there 3 days ago when Ii just looked at the ears and his nails. I guess ill be awake all night on eraser watch, (sigh) dave-n-cindy -n- eraser

CP foster Eraser says: on the 'Supperbowl'- Special Edition

Written by CP foster Eraser

I don't really understand this Supper Bowl game on Sunday

2 teams dress up like clowns and throw and kick a dead armadillo back and forth to each other

I guess the armadillo is the Supper

There is only 1 so i guess they fight to see

who gets to chew the flavor out of it first

GIVING THANKS ... for CP

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

Unger - M, DOB 3/13/06, wheaten

Jensen - M, DOB 5/11/05, wheaten

Denise G. - F, wheaten, DOB 5/4/02

Susan D. - F, red wheaten, DOB 7/4/10

Cindy U. - F, DOB 5/18/02, wheaten

Kowalski - M, wheaten, DOB 7/4/10

One of the toughest things about working Intakes is knowing when our resources are low, when we are full up and we just can't take any more Cairns, that we will have to say NO, possibly sending Cairns to their death. We aren't like the Federal Government that can levy a new tax, impose a draft or condemn property to suit their needs. CP can't crank up the printing presses and make more money, commandere foster homes or highjack volunteers.

And so, this introduction is personal from me, from the bottom of my heart, to those who raised their hand to help the furkids that found their way to freedom this past weekend because of them. When I put out that plea last week, I didn't know how many would step up, could step up, to help. I was hoping we would be able to help all that had an opportunity to know freedom and WE DID IT!

These six Giving Thanks have been named in honor of those that raised their hands to help.

We also have a few others that I have to thank who stepped up to help, Kay R., Deb H., Barb C., and Chris C. for fostering, also Carolynne M. and Paula F. for transporting.

I am Giving Thanks that these six little Cairns, Anya and Plymouth Rock are going to enjoy their first Thanksgiving in freedom and have a wonderful life ahead of them. We have a lot to be thankful for!
