Betty Jean Finds Loving Arms at Col. Potter!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Betty Jean, a sweet 7 year old Wheaten Female

Please give a warm Welcome to Betty Jean!  Miss Betty Jean has four big “S”s going for her:  Sweet, Smart, Social, and Special!!  She is so special that the volunteer who picked her up (thank you Dottie D!) says that Betty Jean would make a wonderful Therapy Dog or even Reading Therapy Dog.  A truly smart little girl, Betty Jean knows a few tricks, and she will even “smile” at you if you ask her to do something she doesn’t want to.

Betty Jean is Sweet, Smart, Social, and Special!

Betty Jean is a beautiful Wheaten girl who weighs 17 pounds and is estimated to be 7 years old.  She comes to Col. Potter from a loving Dad who rescued her several years ago.  Sadly, he can’t provide the tender loving care for her any longer due to his own deteriorated health.  To tell you of the LOVE between the two, he said that “leaving a 38 year marriage was easier than leaving my dog.”  He knew that giving her to CP was the only way to guarantee that she would have another loving home.

Thanks to our wonderful Col. Potter Volunteers, Betty Jean will, without a doubt, have that loving home again!

Zuzu Rings the Bell at Col. Potter!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Zuzu Bailey, a sweet 7 year old Wheaten Female

The Holidays are upon us and after watching the Christmas Classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” the perfect name seemed obvious:  ZuZu Bailey!  She’s the little girl who came down with a fever when she didn’t button her coat, out in the cold, not wanting to crush her beautiful flower.  In the end, she tells her father that every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.

Unfortunately, this little 7 year old Cairn girl has also been out in the cold.  Thanks to Col. Potter and all its Rescue Angels, those days are over.  She is about to begin experiencing a new and “Wonderful Life” of her very own.

Please Welcome ZuZu Bailey to a New Wonderful Life with Col. Potter!
