Well, once you meet CP's newest "flavor", you're just going to love it or should I say her! This little girl came from a breeder that we have gotten several other Cairns from over the past few years. The dogs are generally in good condition, have been well cared for and pretty friendly and socialized, as far as PM kids go. The breeder generally releases them when they reach mid-age or if they have any physical problems. That's how this little girl got her freedom... She just whelped a litter of puppies two weeks ago, but had a very difficult time, delivering three puppies alive, but then shutting down her delivery efforts, had no milk and finally, hours later, delivered three other puppies already dead. Her puppies that were alive were given to a different mother to care for and she was given the necessary medications to "clean her out" and protect against infection from the dead puppies. The breeder decided her breeding days were over and contacted me to see if we had room for her.
On a warm summer day what could be better than a big, freshly made scoop of Spumoni ice cream in a waffle cone. That's exactly whatour volunteers stopped to enjoy on the way home from picking up this little girl. Spumoni is a taste sensation of different flavors and textures, very much like the beautiful multi-color brindle coat on this little girl and so, it gives me great pleasure to introduce Spumoni! She just celebrated her 4th birthday, but I bet it didn't include any ice cream. Hey did you share your ice cream with Spumoni? My thanks, as always, to them for picking up Spumoni and for the pictures. Please help me welcome Spumoni to CP!
