A Warm Welcome to Little Forester!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Warning:  If you have cute-protection glasses, now would be the time to put them on!

 Forester 9 months old

Please welcome little Forester to our Col. Potter clan!  This wee Wheaten dude, all 10 lbs and 9 months of him, was just not fitting in too well with the family who brought him in to live with them.  Those humans, well they just couldn't understand that a Cairn fella’ has things he has to do and places he's gotta’ go.  So the humans thought this little adventurer might do better with somebody who understood a guy like him a little better than they did.  And they called in Col. Potter knowing that we were just the ticket for what this little dude needed.  So Forester packed his bags and came on over to be with us.

Let's all give this little big Cairn our famous CP welcome!

Introducing Dallen

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

Oh what a boy!!! Dallen is a young energetic cairn. At just 9 months old, he is full of himself and all terrier. His family was young with 5 children and 3 in diapers. They clearly had their hands full already. They had no idea how much time it would take to properly train a puppy, but realized that the right thing to do was to find him a new home and owners that had more time to devote to him.

The former owner told us that Dallen is "great with kids of all ages, very eager to please, loves to be with anyone and everyone, is great with big and small dogs, cuddly, and a loving puppy that doesn't destroy things."

And might I add a very handsome cairn too, just look at his picture and the colors on that coat of his! WOW, I don’t think he will be in foster care for long!

Adorable Cairn Princess Assumes Her Throne!

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

Through no fault of her own , this adorable little princess at only 9 months of age found herself in need of a new castle for her throne. She was purchased to "help" a child cope with a divorce, but we all know how that usually works out and this was no exception! No one had time for her or wanted to deal with her on top of all the other emotional upheaval!

It's lucky for her, they cared enough to get in touch with Col. Potter rather than trying to sell her or re-home her themselves as she has not been spayed and that could have been disastrous for her! She will pay a visit to our wonderful vet this week to be spayed and brought up to date on any other tests and shots before heading off to a foster home. I'm sure she won't be reigning over her foster home very long before she finds her very own forever castle to assume her throne! Please help me welcome Princess Erin Renee!

My thanks to Bonnie & Alan B. for picking up this little princess and keeping her safe while we can make arrangements for her.
