THREE MARCH INTO CP

Written by CP's VP of Intakes

When a puppy doesn't sell or find its home by a certain age, its future is precarious to say the least, especially with the current economy.

For three babies, their future was sealed with happiness when they came Marching Into CP! They are siblings born 8/29/10, so are just six months old. They also got a little extra guardian angel to watch over them from being named from our Name a Cairn Program.

It is my pleasure to introduce March Into CP:

Henry C. - Male, red wheaten, described as a talker. He is named in honor of Sheri K's dad. This was a Christmas present for her Dad which will give much love--to dad and a Cairn--and provide interest for a very long time.

Sir Winston - Male, red wheaten, he's playful but a little timid. He is named in memory of Pam M's 14 year old cairn Sir Winston who went to the Rainbow Bridge in 2009.

Inky Pie - Female, red wheaten, typical bossy little girl with her brothers. She named in memory of Suzanne C's mother whose nickname was Pie. The first nephew born could not say Auntie Pie and called her Inky Pie and it stuck. Suzanne's mom died of pancreatic cancer 15 years ago; she is still missed and submitting this brought tears to Suzanne's eyes.

Welcome sweet babies! We're so happy you Marched Into CP!!

Welcome Dream and Durango!

A family in Texas was re-locating and found themselves unable to take their 1 1/2 yr old Cairn male, Durango, and their 6 mo old female, Dream. Lucky for these two they contacted Col. Potter. Last weekend our rescue angel brought these two adorable pups into the Col's welcoming arms. Dream is your typical 6 month old puppy, full of fun and run. Little Durango is as cute as can be. He has been found to have a broken leg and through the generosity of Col Potter he will have it fixed this week. Hopefully this will enable him to run and play like the youngster he is. Durango has been placed into our Guardian Angel program. Please consider helping us take care of this little one, every little bit helps. Join me in welcoming our latest Col. Potter kids.

A Little Tough Girl ...

About a week ago we were contacted by a shelter in Florida concerning a 6 month old stray wheaten girl. This little one was found by animal control roaming the streets taking care of herself. A very nice shelter worker contacted us to save her. Thanks to that kind soul this little tough girl will become a princess in no time under Col. Potter's care.

Please join me in welcoming Carissa!

Meet Col. Potter's New Mini Cairn Princess

A female Cairn puppy was purchased by a couple for their son. When the son didn't take care of the puppy, the parents listed her in an ad as "free to good home". The Rescue Team monitors for such ads and contacts owners with the dangers of these types of ads. Luckily the owners decided that Col. Potter was a better option, and the wheels were set in motion to bring this darling 6 month old girl into the safety of CP.

Please welcome Violet to our CP family!
