Introducing Ruffy!

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

This handsome little cairn became a Col. Potter kid last week. Isn’t he gorgeous?

Ruffy is 4.5 years old and came from a very loving home. He’s housebroken, loves people and other animals. He’s also described as independent and headstrong. Of course, that describes most cairns doesn’t it?

Welcome Ruffy! Col. Potter will find you a new loving home.

Please Welcome Miss Millie!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Little Miss Millie was turned in to a shelter by her owner because she “couldn’t take care of her anymore”. The shelter was full, and she’d been there for 5 days with no adoption interests. So she was at the top of the list for being PTS when our Rescue Team found out about her.

Miss Millie is 5 years old and has lived outdoors, 24/7, most of her young life. Despite the years of pretty much being ignored, she’s always excited and happy to see people.

Huge thanks to Lynn B for spending most of today driving many, many miles to pick her up and delivering her to the vet.

Welcome little lady. You won’t be spending any more long days outside with no one around to be your friend. Col Potter will make sure of that!

Opee joins the CP family

Written by a CP Intakes volunteer

Everyone, meet Opee. Opee is 4 1/2 years old and joined Col. Potter this past weekend. The volunteer who picked him up said he is a baby doll! That was great news as Opee has some anxiety issues and was said not to do so well traveling, but you'd never know it based on how well he did getting to his foster home.

Thank you everyone for helping Opee.

Welcome to CP, Opee!

This beautiful 4.5 yr old girl found her way to Col. Potter through no fault of her own. She is said to be very sweet, gives kisses and lots of tail wags.

Welcome Agassi - Written By His Foster Mom

Agassi just arrived here yesterday and I already adore him! He will be adopted quickly, I'm sure. He is 4.5 years old and a beautiful red wheaten. It seems that his owners had a baby and Agassi started marking in the house, especially on anything that belonged to the baby. They also were working longer hours and didn't feel they were able to spend the time with this sweet boy that he deserves. They loved him so much and wanted to make sure he found a good home. What better way to make sure than to surrender him to CPCRN?

Agassi missed his family at first and was sad and not eating much. But I am happy to report that he is feeling much better now! He just LOVES people and is so happy to be near my daughters, my husband, and me. His old owners said that he likes other dogs but so far he has backed away from my dogs sniffing and whining at the bottom of the door so we are giving him more time before we introduce them. Although he had not previously had any interactions with cats, Agassi has met our cat and was a perfect gentleman. No problems at all! He has been calm and quiet since he arrived. (How long can THAT last? )
